After breakfast, depart for Gulmarg, one of the most beautiful summer resorts in the valley. Located at 8700 feet (2652 meters), Gulmarg was discovered by a Kashmiri romantic poet in the 16th century, captivated by its grassy slopes adorned with wildflowers. Renowned for its world’s highest golf course in summer and skiing in winter, Gulmarg offers a splendid natural setting with snowy mountains. Optionally, take the Gondola Cable Car to the upland meadows of Kongdori and further to the Apharwat range at 14000 feet for panoramic views of the Himalayan peaks in summer and excellent downhill skiing in winter. After breakfast, depart from Gulmarg and drive to Pahalgam, situated at 2440 meters (Vale of Kashmir). On the way, visit the saffron fields and the ancient Avantipur ruins, an eleven-hundred-year-old temple. Arrive in Pahalgam by lunchtime, a renowned location for the Indian film industry. After lunch (on your own), take in the natural beauty of the valley. Overnight stay at a hotel in Pahalgam.
